Yes, i would say, this statement perfectly described the lens.Ĭouchpotato wrote: Congrats, you got me envy. It has a bit of sonnar a bit of ernostar and a bit more of the ancient double-anastigmat lenses Smile Hinnerker: Congratulations! Welcome to the club Wink Very nice photos showing the power of Primoplan design. the lens produce a great 3D effectĢ Crops, showing f1.9 and f2.8 side by side But the lens delivers a unique bokeh, creamy and a bit like a painter would paint. There are no nice "catseyes" in the bokeh like the Biotar do have. IMHO the lens isnt as sharp as the Biotar at open aperture, but does have nearly the same "swirl" as the Biotar with the difference of longer holding the "Swirl" if you stop down the lens to lets say f2.8 or f4. A bit of Biotar swirl on one hand, a bit of creamy Rokkor Bokeh on the other hand. Yes, the Primoplan has a really great bokeh.
